A week ago tonight we were watching the beginning of what became six inches of snow on our doorstep! Thomas was beyond excited! This is the most snow he has seen (and played in!). He was up early Saturday morning asking over and over- "can we go outside?!" We were able to stall him until he had at least had a warm breakfast but then it was on! He put on all his snow gear- which he almost never has a need to wear- and we headed out. I must admit, even Craig and I were in awe of just how beautiful a sight the snowfall was that day. Thomas quickly gathered a few of his neighbor friends and the sledding began! He had a great time! We took a break to come in for lunch, warm by the fire, and of course he had to have hot chocolate- and then headed back out for a little while more. We had to drag him in with a promise to play everyday til it melted. I just enjoyed watching as my angel made some childhood memories of his first "big" snow.
