Thomas turned eight this past week! I can barely believe he is 8 already...he is growing up entirely too fast! He had a week long of fun events to celebrate his birthday and enjoyed every minute. He had a party with his cousin Gracie the Saturday prior to his birthday, Their birthdays are close together so we decided to try a party for them both at Logan's. They both love eating there and throwing the peanut shells on the floor! The employees all sang Happy Birthday to them, they had cake, and opened presents. It was a good time. Thanks to all of our family who came and the gifts! He got lots of money and went right out and bought him an ipod which he absolutely loves to listen to and sing his songs.

Then, on his actual birthday, he got to stay home from school. He opened presents, went and ate a big pancake breakfast(his favorite) and then had an appt. with the orthodontist. He had his expander put on his teeth, ( a metal bracket that stretches across the roof of his mouth and hooks on each side)- sounds bad, but he's doing really well with it. He will wear it about 3 months, then have his braces put on.

The next day, he had his party at school with his friends! They sang Happy Birthday to him in both English and Spanish then had chocolate cupcakes! Mrs. Roy had each student tell what they thought was best about Thomas. The consensus was pretty much, "he is so funny, he loves football, and runs really fast" - it was really cute. After his party, he had his well check appt. at his doctor's office. He weighed 51 lbs. and is 48 inches. He gained 6 pounds and grew 3 inches since last year... he is growing up so fast!
Then on Saturday, he had his birthday party at our house with his friends. He wanted to have a "sleepover" party this year, so I geared myself up for all these boys~ all night long! He had a blast! They ate pizza, chips, cupcakes, ice cream. They played football, games, freeze dance, and ended the night watching movies. They finally were asleep at 10:30pm but were back up and going by 6:15am! Me and Daddy were exhausted! Thomas was so happy with his 8th birthday party! He got lots more presents and can't wait to spend the rest of his money!

We appreciate all the family and friends who helped to make his birthday so special this year!
