....Finally! Thomas has had a tooth loose for what seems like forever! His very first one! Yesterday it had finally gotten so loose that I was afraid it was going to fall out and get swallowed, and I just couldn't have that- not his very first one! So, after a little wiggling and one good tug, it popped right out. He didn't even know it was missing until I told him to rinse and he felt it gone. After just a few short tears, he was so excited to call everyone and tell them about his tooth! He already has another coming in where it was. Of course, the rest of the day was spent pondering over how much money the tooth fairy was going to leave and just what he wanted to buy with it. He went through a whole list of toys! By bedtime, he was more than ready to get to sleep. He just knew the tooth fairy was on her way and he wasn't going to chance still being awake! He put his tooth in an envelope and appropriately addressed it to the "tooth fairy." Then, under his pillow it went and he was fast asleep within minutes! This morning, I woke up to a super excited little boy yelling, "Mommy, I got five dollars!" And again, he wanted to call and tell everyone. It was only 6:30am so I convinced him to wait. He ate breakfast and was ready to go spend his hard earned money! It was a tough decision but eventually he decided on a Star Wars toy, (no surprise!). After shopping, we went to Daddy's office and all went out for lunch. He showed everyone in the office and anyone else that would stop long enough to look that he lost his tooth. He is just so proud! Me and Daddy have just enjoyed watching him get so excited about this new big event in his life. He is truly a happy child and we are blessed to be his parents. We love his new toothless little smile!
